QC Technician

This is a temporary, full-time placement expected to last three months. This position involves new and varied work situations and a high degree of complexity. The position performs science-based work pertaining to food safety. This position functions in an audit capacity and the potential for internal conflict is present. The successful candidate must be able to focus on product quality and consistency as the foundation for judgments made. The individual should have experience in biology or microbiology. The individual must have excellent interpersonal and decision making skills, use discretion, have the ability to negotiate and build consensus in a team environment. It is imperative that this individual be able to communicate both orally and in writing. The individual should be able to perform science-based laboratory work, perform basic and advanced mathematics and use independent judgment.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in food science and technology, biology, microbiology, other food-related scientific discipline is preferred. 1-2 years of progressive responsibility in a quality control role with a food manufacturer is preferred

Production Supervisor

As our production supervisor you will evaluate written data (job orders, product specifications and operations sheets) and employee production rates to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of material, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow. You will manage workers' schedules, including breaks and lunches as well as monitor and evaluate employee performance to determine wheather employee requiers additional training to maintain the highest level of crew accuracy.

  • Look for ways to improve work operations.
  • Analyze all job functions to identify and implement performance improvements and minimize waste.
  • Institute safety procedures.
  • Inspect all supplies and inventories of equipment and tools, as well as operating machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Trouble shoot minor equipment malfunctions and monitor maintenance schedules and repairs by maintenance department.
  • Make an objective evaluation of equipment, machines and overall work methods, with attention to determining the most economical and efficient processes and methods including work procedures, work schedules and workflow.
  • Arrange job procedures and work schedules so employees can work with as little wasted effort and duplication as possible; Prepare and maintain all necessary reports as requested by Plant or Production Manager.
  • Conduct training programs, particularly for new employees. Supervise employees closely to ensure they are efficient and effective in all performed tasks.
  • Support and enforce all Company policies including HACCP, GMP’s and safety policy.
  • Administer discipline, as needed, in verbal and written form.
  • Ensure all employees understand and follow all aspects of the ISO Quality Management System.

    Monitor employee morale and respond immediately to resolve employee concerns and problems.
  
  

  • Education and/or Experience
    Four-year college degree and 3-5 years supervisory experience required.

Sanitation Worker

Cleans food production plant and equipment according to USDA and FDA standards.
