Sanitation Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing plant.

  • Monitors sanitation programs, SSOP’s, sanitation checklist of all processing, packaging equipment and cleaning systems.
  • Computes manpower required for sanitation according to production schedules.
  • Inspects equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and USDA standards.
  • Trains, evaluates and directs sanitation crew in proper sanitation process, disassembling of equipment, cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and work areas.
  • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
  • Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety and environmental standards. Enforces GMP’s and implements HACCP processes and procedures.
  • Confers with manager and production supervisors on sanitation problems and recommends changes in work practices to improve sanitation standards when necessary.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations and processes taken to correct deficiencies.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve their work goals and to create good teamwork among sanitation workers.
    
  
  

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    Position has supervisory responsibilities over two lead persons and directly supervises a crew of 12 to 15 employees. Is responsible for the direction, Coordination, and evaluation of the crew. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work, performance appraisals, discipline and complaint resolutions.

  • Education and/or Experience
    Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Maintenanace Supervisor/Millwright

Supervise, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance personnel. Monitor the overall operations of all machinery and equipment throughout the plant including boilers, ammonia compressors, air compressors and waste water systems.

  • Monitors and supervises repairs on ammonia system, boilers and waste water system.
  • Schedules and performs training of maintenance personnel (ammonia safety, Hazwop, Lockout-tagout).
  • Monitors preventive maintenance daily and schedules duties for maintenance personnel.
  • Research, purchase and maintain parts inventory utilizing I-maintenance computer software.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve any problems with machinery, equipment; on call 24 hours.
  • Expands preventive maintenance utilizing I-maintenance computer software.
  • Assists and facilitates in resolving any safety issues in the plant.
  • Keeps production running at as close as possible to 100% minimizing downtime.
  • Works with Maintenance Manager on project progress reports for weekly managers meeting with Plant Manager.
  • Promotes teamwork and safe work practices among maintenance personnel.
    
  
  

  • Education and/or Experience
    Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from two year college or technical school plus six or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    Supervisory responsibilities over approximately seven (7) to nine (9) maintenance personnel.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    The following licenses, Certifications or registrations are required to perform the essential duties of this job. Certification: Ammonia License: Forklift

Production Worker

Performs numerous manual duties to produce quality products in accordance with company requirements.

  • Performs a variety of routine tasks in food manufacturing including cutting, trimming, mixing, inspecting, sorting, packaging and casing of product.
  • Operate equipment used to produce product.
  • Apply labels as necessary.
  • Check container weights, dates, and labels for accuracy.
  • Performs work which is generally repetitive.
  • Must be able to follow simple written or verbal instructions.

    Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Sanitation Worker

Cleans food production plant and equipment according to USDA and FDA standards.
